We act responsibly

POLWELL'S CSR ACTIVITIES

Powell is a company that, right from the beginning, puts the emphasis on social responsibility and environmental protection. We engage in various social actions and initiatives and promote a healthy lifestyle. We want to leave a positive footprint on people and the world we live in.

WE SUPPORT MANY INITIATIVES AND ACTIVITIES

We actively support nationwide social campaigns such as Amazonki [the Amasonians – a breast cancer foundation], Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity [WOŚP], and The U Day [Dzień na U]. We cooperate with various sports organizations, including basketball teams Astoria Bydgoszcz and Basket25, to promote physical activity and a healthy lifestyle. We are also engaged in environmental protection. Therefore, we auspices nationwide ecological initiatives such as A Cycling Capital of Poland. We are involved in forest planting by donating funds collected from
selling Hairdresser Calendars.

ART PATRONAGE

We auspices cultural events. We are a co-producer of the Oscar-nominated film and a
partner of many valued film productions.

FRYZJERZY FIGHTERZY

This project is dedicated to helping the hairdressers. It originated during pandemics when our industry suffered from the significant effects of a long-term lockdown. Today, our actions are focused on supporting our friends from Ukraine!

DÉNUÉE TO CHILDREN

The Good Cause Ambassador program, created by the Dénuée brand, is an initiative
supporting the We Give the Children Strength Foundation [Dajemy Dzieciom Siłę] through the sale of natural hair dyes that involves salon owners.

KEMON RECYCLING CAMPAIGN

The I use and give back – I Care for ecology! campaign is a recycling program for aluminium packaging from Kemon hair cosmetic products in 120 hair salons. Thanks to this action, over 400 kg of aluminium packaging has been collected, which will be recycled and given new life.

WE CHANGE DAILY

We also carry out pro-environmental activities within our company. We use eco-friendly shipment fillers, we have installed photovoltaic panels on the roof of our logistics centre, and we are expanding our cosmetic range with natural ingredients. The packaging of our products is made using FSC-certified paper. The majority of our fleet consists of hybrid vehicles.

 

PINK FOR HEALTH

The FLK and Olivia Garden, together with the Federation of Amazonki Associations, join forces in a nationwide pink campaign to fight breast cancer. Supporting Amazonki is a priority for our company. We encourage you to support the campaign by purchasing our products marked with a pink ribbon, such as the professional Fingerbrush hairbrushes.

CYCLING CAPITAL OF POLAND

Participating in the Cycling Capital of Poland as a Strategic Sponsor is another motivation for our employees and partners to lead a healthy lifestyle. The mix of competition, fun, and physical activity is a suitable way to emphasize that ecology concerns all of us.

ASTORIA BYDGOSZCZ & BASKET25

We have supported female and male basketball in Bydgoszcz for years. We believe that supporting sport allows to form a strong team and, moreover, to promote healthy activities among the local community.

 

FALE LOKI KOKI DANCE FESTIVAL

Dancers from all over Poland and abroad compete in various styles, age categories, and skill levels in Bydgoszcz.

FOREST PLANTING

We pass into our customers’ hands the Hairdresser Calendars, the earnings from which we donate to Oxygen Factory Foundation, which plants on our behalf forests on the territory of Poland.

BE PINK

The Mila Pro brand supports the Rak’n’Roll Foundation, thus joining the ranks of a team that shapes prevention and acts to improve the quality of life of people battling cancer.

GREAT ORCHESTRA OF CHRISTMAS CHARITY [WOŚP] KEMON

Since 2004, hairdressers from Kemon partner salons have participated in WOŚP, organized by Jurek Owsiak and his foundation.

ARTEGO HEALTH STYLIST

The Artego brand and the Rak’n’Roll Foundation project, Health Stylist, combine two essential areas: taking care of health and nurturing one’s beauty.

SUSTAINABLE BEAUTY DAY AT DAVINES

The pro-ecological initiative of the brand and its business partners is one of the elements of Davines’ sustainability concept. So far, 11,550 trees have been planted, producing a total of approximately 8,662,500 kg of oxygen.

OLIVIA GARDEN

Olivia Garden decided to actively engage in Mosznowładcy [scrotum noble rulers] campaign, aiming to increase the testicular cancer prevention awareness. The brand’s actions include financial support for the campaign and its promotion on social media.

PATRONAGE CLASSES AT HAIRDRESSING SCHOOLS

As a hairdressing brand, we also want to promote hairdressing knowledge and skills among youth. Therefore, we have created a patronage program for industry-specific profiled classes at hairdressing schools.

Since 2016, the patronage program has been joined by two national schools (ZS nr 1 im. Bartłomieja from Bydgoszczy and ZS Ekonomiczno-Handlowych im. Polaków spod Znaku Rodła in Olsztyn). This initiative contributes to improving education quality and developing skills for future generations of hairdressers. We strive to pass on knowledge and experience gained during our 30 years plus presence on the market, supporting the development, creativity, and professional competence of youth.

Our support includes:

  • supplementing the hairdressing workshops with informational materials and equipment;
  • provide a starter kit for the patronage class students to support their vocational learning;
  • creating training materials for teachers, serving as a rich source of knowledge for creating teaching aids.
