WE ACT RESPONSIBLY
Polwell's CSR Activities
Polwell is a company that has focused on social responsibility and environmental protection from the very beginning. We engage in various social campaigns and initiatives, and we promote a healthy lifestyle. We want to do something good for people and the world we live in.
We support many initiatives and activities
We actively support nationwide social campaigns such as: Amazonki, WOŚP (Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity), and Dzień na U. We cooperate with various sports organizations, including basketball teams Astoria Bydgoszcz and Basket25, to promote physical activity and a healthy lifestyle. We are also committed to environmental protection. Therefore, we sponsor nationwide ecological campaigns, including the Bicycle Capital of Poland (Rowerowa Stolica Polski). We are involved in planting forests, donating funds for the afforestation of Poland obtained from the sale of Hairdresser’s Calendars.
PATRONAGE OF ARTS
We act as a patron for cultural events. We are a co-producer of the Oscar-nominated film EO and a partner of many acclaimed film productions.
FALE LOKI KOKI INSTITUTE
It is a non-profit non-governmental organization established with hairdressers in mind. The foundation’s mission is to support the hairdressing industry and its loved ones, as well as its ennoblement through integration around noble goals. Together we can do more! DÉNUÉE FOR CHILDREN
The “Ambassador of a Good Cause” program created by the Dénuée brand is an initiative supporting the Empowering Children Foundation (Fundacja Dajemy Dzieciom Siłę) through the sale of natural hair dyes, involving the participation of hair salon owners.
KEMON RECYCLING CAMPAIGN
The campaign “I Use – I Return – I Care for the Environment!” is a recycling program for aluminum Kemon hairdressing cosmetic packaging in 120 hair salons. Thanks to the campaign, we have already managed to collect over 400 kg of aluminum packaging, which will be recycled and given a new life.
WE ARE CHANGING EVERY DAY
We also conduct pro-environmental activities within the company: we use ecological parcel fillers, we have installed photovoltaic panels on the roof of our logistics center, and we are expanding our range of cosmetics with natural ingredients. Our product packaging is manufactured using FSC-certified paper. The majority of our fleet consists of hybrid cars.
FIGHTER HAIRDRESSERS
The Fighter Hairdressers project is dedicated to helping hairdressers. It was launched during the pandemic, when our industry felt the massive impact of the prolonged lockdown. Today, our activities are focused on helping our friends from Ukraine!
PINK FOR HEALTH
Fale Loki Koki and Olivia Garden, together with the Federation of Amazon Associations, are joining forces in a nationwide, pink campaign to fight breast cancer. Supporting the Amazons is a priority for our company. We encourage you to support the campaign by purchasing our products marked with a pink ribbon, such as the professional Fingerbrush hairbrushes.
ASTORIA BYDGOSZCZ AND BASKET 25
For years, we have been supporting Bydgoszcz basketball – both women’s and men’s. We believe that supporting sports helps not only in building a strong team but also in promoting healthy activities among the local community.
FALE LOKI KOKI DANCE FESTIVAL
Dancers from all over Poland and abroad compete in Bydgoszcz in various styles, age categories, and at different levels of advancement.
WE PLANT FORESTS
We offer Hairdresser’s Calendars to our clients, and the proceeds are donated to the Oxygen Factory Foundation (Fundacja Fabryka Tlenu) so that they can plant forests in Poland on our behalf.
BE PINK
The Mila Pro brand supports the Rak’n’Roll Foundation. It thereby joins the ranks of a team that has been shaping preventive actions for years and working to improve the quality of life for people struggling with cancer.
WOŚP KEMON
Since 2004, hairdressers from Kemon partner salons have been participating in the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOŚP), organized by Jurek Owsiak and his foundation.
ARTEGO HEALTH STYLIST
The Health Stylist project by the Artego brand and the Rak’n’Roll Foundation combines two very important areas: firstly, taking care of one’s health, and secondly, caring for one’s beauty.
SUSTAINABLE BEAUTY DAY AT DAVINES
The pro-ecological initiative of the brand and its business partners is one of the elements of Davines’ sustainable development concept. To date, 11,550 trees have been planted, producing a total of approximately 8,662,500 kg of oxygen.
MOVEMBER OLIVIA GARDEN (kampania "Mosznowładcy")
Olivia Garden decided to actively engage in the “Mosznowładcy” (Movember) campaign, which aims to increase awareness of testicular cancer prevention. The brand’s activities include financial support for the campaign and promoting it on social media.
BICYCLE CAPITAL OF POLAND
Participating in the Bicycle Capital of Poland as a Strategic Sponsor is another motivation for our employees and partners to lead a healthy lifestyle. The mix of competition, fun, and physical activity is an appropriate way to emphasize that ecology is everyone’s business.
Patronage classes in hairdressing schools
As a hairdressing brand, we also want to promote hairdressing knowledge and skills among young people. Therefore, we have created a patronage program for vocational classes in hairdressing schools.
Since 2016, the Bartłomiej School Complex No. 1 in Bydgoszcz and the Poles of the Rodło Emblem Economic and Commercial School Complex in Olsztyn have joined our patronage program. This initiative contributes to increasing the quality of education and improving the skills of future generations of hairdressers. We want to pass on the knowledge and experience gained over 30 years of presence on the market, supporting the development and creativity of youth, and building professional competencies.
Our support includes:
• supplementing the hairdressing studio with information materials and equipment;
• preparing a starter kit for students of the patronage class to support their vocational learning;
• creating training materials for teachers, serving as a rich source of knowledge for creating teaching aids.
